Best Saddle Hunting Accessories

Updated: 2 days ago

Like everything in hunting, you have your essential gear and you have your nice to haves…

This is your list of saddle hunting nice to haves.

I will say, you could argue that some of these are more than nice to haves, but technically you could still get the job done without them…

Even though it would be a pain

Best Saddle Hunting Pack

Trophyline C.A.Y.S. 2.0 Backpack

Trophyline designed the C.A.Y.S 2.0 specifically for saddle hunting to help you get the most out of your hunt.

It has your standard features for a backpack, big main compartment, a spot for a hydration bladder, and your accessory pockets…

Nothing too crazy there.

But there’s 3 features that set it apart.

The first one is that all of the pockets are fleece lined to help keep down any noise while pulling gear out.

Second, it has straps on the side to hold your climbing sticks!

This set up makes it compatible with any climbing sticks on the market and keeps them easily accessible when you get to your tree

Last and certainly not least is the platform pocket.

Keep your platform easily accessible and avoid taking up valuable real estate on the inside of your pack.

Best Saddle Hunting Gear Strap

TETHRD HYS Strap

I know this is “Technically” an accessory, but it’s hard to imagine saddle hunting without a gear strap

It’s exactly what it sounds like, it’s a strap that you attach to the tree to help organize all of your gear while you’re saddle hunting.

The HYS Strap does this better than any other gear strap on the market.

Really, the biggest reason is just how many different loops you have to attach your gear to!

Whether you use carabiners or combine it with TETHRd’s bow hanger, your options are almost endless.

I also like how easy it is to set up

The hook system they use makes it painless to set up, even with gloves on

Best Saddle Hunting Bow Hanger

TETHRD Fold N Go Bow Hanger

If you’re going to saddle hunt, you obviously need somewhere to put your bow…

TETHRD’s bow hanger goes hand in hand with a gear strap to keep your bow within easy reach while you’re in your saddle.

There’s not a whole lot to it, but it’s perfect for the HYS Strap, so I prefer using them together.

For me, I like how wide the hook angle is because it makes it easy to get your bow on and off of there

I also like that it’s plastic and not metal, so it doesn’t make as much noise when you put a bow on there.
